Respawn Is a Joke

To be fair, these are very early season badges, when everyone including my little sister could have hit pred. He probably hasn't played in a while hence being currently bronze.

You're gonna have to spell this one out for me. I'm looking at the banner of some random player whose trackers don't mean anything, and I don't know what the badges mean, but I also don't care because the trackers are enough? Who is this guy and why do you care about him and what is it that should never happen?

The divisions in order from lowest to highest are:

 (Rookie) - Bronze - Silver - Gold - Platinum - Diamond - Master - (Predator).

All divisions have 4 ranks, with 4 being the lowest. You can only be placed into Rookie once now I believe and Predators are not actually a bracket they are just the top 750 Masters on each platform. This guy was a Predator twice and is now playing in the Bronze 4 (absolute lowest) division. Meaning that at one point in time this player was one of the best 2000 players in all of Apex (twice across 2 seasons) and is now playing in Bronze 4 against the very lowest skilled players. All because Respawn cannot figure out how ranked play should work. It's the equivalent of an NFL quarterback playing against highschool teams. It's why Apex is hemorrhaging players.

Again, season 1 and 2 pred badges don't mean anything, skill gap was non existent back then, you'd know this being an OG, as myself. Again, if you don't Play Apex for a while, and start back up with rank, what are you expecting, that players with pred badges from season 1 get thrown right back into Pred? lol

I feel you, man. I've had matches this year with obvious bot squads making up over half of the match. I'm not talking about new players or young kids, I mean literal bots. It's sad that a game some of us love so much, with great characters and lore, is being killed by EA and Respawn. I know they're making money, but imagine the money they could make if they tried.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. This guy should only ever be in the top bucket. Period. I don't care what season his predator badge comes from.

But, to play devil's advocate, if they finally built a proper skill assessment tool and actually started using it for the purposes of matchmaking, then you would be just as likely to face this exact same player with the exception that his banner would have no stats and no badges save the one that declared him "Level Two." Because it's easier to start a secondary than it is to change your socks. This is the game we're playing. Pun intended.

You are 100% right Recon, and smurfing happens far too often as well. However, that's easy to spot and ban if they had any motivation to do so. They're still printing money with this game so unfortunately they do not. If a level 15 account is dropping 20 bombs in gold lobbies you ban them, easy peezy. These are fun wishes. I'm glad to see someone else on here has some common sense.

Again, I have common sense so I expect them to not start at bronze 4 with people who have potentially only been playing for a few weeks. I expect a floor to be set for the 1 percent. Are you suggesting the best players in the world seasons 1 and 2 would be in Bronze 4 today? That's laughably stupid. Figure it out bud. Are you really defending this nonsense? Is this your account, or maybe a friend of yours?

That’s just not how the rank system works. If you haven’t played for 2 or 3 seasons, regardless of your last rank placement, you’ll be set back to bronze/rookie. The pred badges are from season 1, and 2, not 20, not 21, or 22. You need to understand that the skill gap after 24 seasons has massively evolved lol. Now tell me this, without being offended and overly emotional, if i’m in the 0.4% kills bracket, i shouldn’t have started off in rookie a few weeks ago, now diamond, cause my stats are better than yours, even tho I came back after a 3 season break? You do understand that better players move up very fast from lower ranks right? I know of many players that played season 1, which had a very low player count, that got pred badges, and guess what, these same players today are hard stuck plat.

To put things in perspective, your rev Pred only has 2k Apex kills, this dude hasn’t played in over 10 seasons is my guess, most likely more….I have 15 times his amount of kills and i’m stuck in Diamond, cause that’s where I belong. Following your logic, I should be thrown in Pred lobbies, face palm!

Guys, we found the Respawn employee. I fully understand how the current system works. I also fully understand that it is broken. Your points aren't valid, no matter how many times or how many different ways you state them.  I will in deed move on, kiddo. You obviously are very happy with this broken system, and I am no longer invested in a back and forth with someone who can't grasp reality. Congratulations, ignorance certainly is bliss. Enjoy continuing to be dunked on by streamers.
