@BigMacAttack8u A legend pick does not determine if he/she's good or not. Everybody plays mobility legends because it's more fun and makes the game faster. Wattson is good, Crypto is strong but they have the lowest pick rates. And that's why i think Respawn should not weight pick rates that much when they're balancing the game.
Remember the RevTane meta? Everybody hated it because you had a free push with no risks, and if you have a good coordination with your team you could have a guaranteed won fight.
Now at least you can hear and see if someone is rev ulting. To me it's just like Seer: two wrong abilities that should not have been made and put into the game.
@Cro_Pittt If we compare recant to horizon, we know see that good four as an average rank is very low compared horizon’s platinum 2. I’m not really basing it in pick rates, I’m basing it on what the average rank is and other factors of the like. Gold four is the Lowest the average rank is, most legends have it above that. We can clearly see horizons graph is practically the opposite of Revenant's.
Horizon:
- hayhor3 years agoHero@BigMacAttack8u It is true that most revenant players I encounter (especially teammates) are not very good players. Players much too reliant on the "free life" ability where they just run straight at the other team and get instantly sent back. These same ones never use their tactical at the moment that make sense either. But this is not because the character is bad, this is because people mis use him. He takes more thought to play than people realize.
Horizons on the other hand do not even have to try. Get shot? Instant q and up they go to safety. They shoot someone who takes some small cover behind a rock, again instant q to fully expose that player. Got someone behind a door, just throw your ult and walk through because your ult has no affect on you.
This is more about balancing horizon to me. - 3 years ago@hayhor Sorry but revenant is objectively bad, his passive and tactical are amazing but his hitbox and ult are absolute garbage…
He has a bigger hitbox than Newcastle that’s honestly just embarrassing.
Btw why i can’t see anything about arena beeing removed on the patchnotes? - hayhor3 years agoHero@matzesingt The arenas announcement was in the dev blog.
Also regarding rev- His ult is completely dependent on good teamwork. Most people don't get that you need to focus one player, knock and finish them to make it worthwhile.
In the recent algs LAN a couple teams used him which indicates to me he isn't as bad as some think. - 3 years ago
@hayhorHmm saying arena doesn’t meet their goals could meet anything but looks like they really go through with screwing over their arena community… very sad to see them removing it instead of fixing it.
I saw revenant over the whole algs weekend I think once or maybe twice, by one team that experimented arround with him and failed without a single noticeable rev push.
We need to keep in mind this rush down meta is actually the best he could have and he is still not played. That is very concerning, you can ofc say he is team dependent but is an ultimate actually really good if it is dependent on other ultimates while every other ult has solid value on its own ?the ult needs value on its own, to make that happen is pretty simple, make it so that shadows can’t use movement abilities etc wich means they can’t enter the void(ash and wraith ult) and make them slightly float over the floor so they can’t use the jumppad, but in return give shadows a like 30% speedboost to close the gap fast enough.
this would give revenant ult some value without beeing reliant on other ultimates

So nothing on SBMM, nothing on what they are doing to address the insane hacking issues. Nothing on addressing the smurfing issue. I see there is something on increasing sound on zips but nothing on the serious sound issues?
Disappointing.
- HappyHourSumwur3 years agoSeasoned Ace@NickBeam27 This . . . S16 is just window dressing if they don't fix all of these things.
- Kyldenar3 years agoSeasoned Ace@HappyHourSumwur Yep, I'll give it a try on the PS4 since it's already installed for the kid, but doubtful any changes will get me to install on my PC again.

So, was debating with myself if I should download the "patch" when I got home. That they added something new and dumb, which is op, naturally counted against it. It's like old seasons where you'd just wait playing for the first 2-3 weeks until they nerfed the new gun or legend.
So I turn on Noko, and then I got my answer! 1:10 left of round 2 and two squads left!!! Not even kidding! Yeah, no thanks, Respawn.
- 3 years ago@CCbathwater I uninstalled the game the day before season 16 launch....however I was watching my son play today & hahahaha wow! When all the pros, streamers, smurfers and hackers return who have wandered off when things got stale for them mid season 15 - holy can you now really see how busted the MM really is. He was going up against a whack of the top 750 preds in the world the entire afternoon in pubs! lol, my son has a KD of 0.82.
Just sad - and the new nemesis in my opinion watching all afternoon, is just busted. little to no recoil on that thing. It was my understanding the nemesis was to bridge the gap between the flatline and R301. But from what I could see is it takes the best things about both flatline and R301 and kicks it up a notch - BAM!
And oh boy so glad they did a bunch of changes to World Frag. What a difference thats gonna make LOL. - Kyldenar3 years agoSeasoned Ace

And oh boy so glad they did a bunch of changes to World Frag. What a difference thats gonna make LOL.The ONLY thing holding the Nemesis back right now from my limited experience on my (now level 20) PS4 account, is the base ammo count. It's 5 bursts. On a one on one, you got it easy, but trying to 1v2 or 1v3 it's more even odds. Even I got easy kills with it. However, once you got an extended mag.... yeah.
And yeah, EOMM is still trash. My PS4 account is level 20 with a 0.44 KDR, and I had to fight against prestige leveled players? Right...
rEAspawn is doing nothing to convince casuals to come back, which will hurt them eventually. The Whales need people to show off their skins to. And they already canceled the PVE game I was interested in.
- 3 years ago@Kyldenar I heard , which was another reason I uninstalled. That PvE game had me so excited! It made feel like all the crap rEAspawn had me swallow for 15 seasons was all gonna be worth it.
So disappointing!
