If you missed having a chance to wander around Fight Night during Shadow Royale, you owe it to yourself to look up the couple of videos leaking walkthroughs of the map before the event opened. The detail they went to in transforming this to a monument to Revenant was just awesome. I think iLoot had the best video, IIRC.
@pandareno1999 I really did enjoy all the detail, there was also a bit of lore in there. There were so many vines if you didn’t notice, that means (theory) The legends couldn’t stop the virus that infected the map during the legacy quest. They continued to host games there until it got really bad, if you didn’t notice, season 12 did not happen in that map. This means that they abandoned the map, so revenant took it over.
@BigMacAttack8u Given what a gorgeous landscape the transformed S7 Olympus was, it is very unfortunate how absolutely terrible this map was for this game mode. I played probably fewer than 20 matches total.

@hayhor The virtual lack of natural cover outdoors and suitable indoor architectural cover to allow for play making using Shadow movement. Kings Canyon was ideal on these counts. Being a Shadow felt practically useless when compared with the previous two years. Last year I could easily come out of a match with 15 or more kills as a Shadow (mostly on other Shadows but also on living players), and I'm a much improved player since that time. There were some other elements that made it worse as well: such as the incredible ease Olympus allowed for randoms griefing games by killing themselves immediately off drop to become Shadows. The timer for respawns was adjusted, making it take an unnecessarily long time in between ill-fated attempts to help your living team mates after you have been killed by anyone who so much as looks at you with a gun as you travel without any cover to try to get a position to help your team. It was exceedingly rare to be able to path in a way that didn't expose you to several enemies who needed only one or two bullets to send you back to spawn.
King's Canyon was a playground for Shadows. Olympus was a respawn simulator.
