@LOLcleverOk so hear me out.
I float between high Diamond and low Masters. I’m good enough to get Masters but I literally lose all my matches when the lobby is comprised of all Masters/Preds.
My pubs are 10000% all Diamond and up level type players.
My pubs are as hard as my Diamond lobbies— actually they are probably harder.
I am not playing low level people. And because the other 57 people in my lobby are good, that means that THOSE players aren’t playing low level players eithers.
SBMM works. I win as much pubs as my far less competent friends because we are both playing people specifically selected to keep us winning at a particular rate.
I’m not saying this is you, but I know a BUNCH of below average-skilled players that believe they are entitled to “win as much as everyone else”, despite putting in the time to practice and improve.
Tight pub SBMM creates equalized outcomes. It shift things so that players of all skill levels start to exhibit the same type of performances. You want this? You want an under average player to win as often as someone who is legitimately above average? It’s fair that I exclusively play the top 1% in pubs and win 1.5% of the time— meanwhile you have less skilled players playing easier lobbies and winning 4.5% of the time?
Of course you don’t want that. You want skilled players to win more than lesser skilled players in pubs. That’s only achievable if pubs has LOOSE SBMM.
@Axs5626Sxa5001 I dont know how can you say that SBMM works. Im lvl 500, 2,15 KD and im constantly getting guys below lvl 100 in almost all my matches, so i end up playing alone, and killed because im not a * Predator, and i cannot kill full trios again and again.

@JonasDumacI agree there is an issue with solo queue SBMM. It’s exceedingly clear that high ELO players intentionally get handicapped by low ELO teammates. It’s exactly why people think EOMM is real.
But the truth remains that SBMM works in general, in so that the BULK of high level players are not dropping into lobbies with all low level players.
I often hear people cry “OMG sbmm is broken because there was a pred in my lobby!”
There is a difference between a pred or three in your lobby and THE ENTIRE LOBBY being in the high-Diamond-Masters skill range. Most people have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what this feels like. These pubs exist.
That’s what I am talking about.- @Axs5626Sxa5001 LMAO! I was complaining at 3 stacking preds in my lobby (1.9 KDR) until I joined my friend with a 3.2 KDR. I can safely say that his lobbies are not fun at all. LMAO.
- @Axs5626Sxa5001 Totally agree with this. I get pretty difficult lobbies when I'm with friends. Lesser lobbies by myself. Then I play with E9 and realize how much harder the lobbies can be 🤣
- @Axs5626Sxa5001 I would stand by it if the other squads in my lobbies were the same. 1 good 2 bads, but no. My guys get melted in 1 sec almost always by pro assasins and i sweat with trios full of guys who clearly know how to play at least semi decent. Im very tired and i dont play as usual as other seasons.
