Sbmm is definitely needed in pubs, I shouldn't be placed with lower skilled players and neither should you. It wouldn't be fair. Anyone holding a positive KD in the highest bucket definitely belongs there and it gives an opportunity to keep improving and not get bored facing weaker opponents
When I first made it to the bucket it was pretty rough, every team I died to had Pred/4k/20/masters badges but I've adapted and improved. It took a full season to get used to it but my now positive KD is proof that I belong there
If you do have a legit 2.5kd then unfortunately you're the person in that bucket that you're complaining about and there's no higher bucket to put you in
I agree MMR should be in pubs but not in ranked IMO. The idea of achieving a rank is to play against similiar skill level opponents not from placement matches. The system is diabolical!
