Season 5 weapons review, the Good, Bad, and Ugly

The Good

R301 - Balanced Good,

Flatline - Balanced Good

Prowler - Boring but Good

Tripletake - Great

Longbow - Good

Wingman - Balanced yet Good

RE 45 - Good

Bad

R99 - Too much recoil, reduce recoil a tiny bit.

Spitfire - Boring, not a real LMG

Hemlock - Too much damage, too much spread, too slow a firerate

G7 - Too slow, to much recoil, has no true purpose anymore.

Revert it back to the high firerate, 30 damage Marksman rifle we all know an love - The season 2 G7!

Alternator - almost perfect

reduce spread, 16 damage

Charge Rifle - over nerfed, has no balls,

Give sniper mags, and increase slowing effect a hair.

Mastiff - whatever, i dont care for it,

Give it Richochet rounds

The Ugly

Mozambique - waste of time, Trash

6 shots, 60 damage

Gun I dont care about,

P2020

Legendarys!

Peacekeeper - Its okay

Kraber - Its okay

Devotion - remove that stupid 2x sight

Give it iron sights or Digital threat.

Final words,

Give the R301 - 30 rounds.

Give R99 - 30 rounds.

I would prefer the R99 stop being nerfed, and usable by everyone instead of just pros. Make the R99 usable by everyone!

@hhnbbfggty66 I like most of what you’ve said. The R-99 recoil does not need a change though. I know players who still have no issue countering the recoil.

@DarthValtrexNo, The R99 needs to be changed so it can be used by everyone instead of just pros.
The problem is the R99 has been nerfed to the point only pros can use it. This makes it where average players can not challenge pros unless they are running a keyboard and mouse.
Us controller players can not compensate for the reoil.
The R99 recoil should be the same as the R301, that would be perfect.

@hhnbbfggty66 So you want the r99, the weapon with the third fastest fire rate in the game (after the energy weapons) to have no recoil (cause r301 has no freaking recoil) and to have an ever bigger magazine size... That would be too broken bro

@hhnbbfggty66 No one would use the R-301 if the R-99 recoil was the same. The R-99 has a higher DPS.

Higher DPS guns should require more skill to use and be more difficult to use. I get the point that makes it advantageous for higher skill players, how ever that’s why the game has SBMM and the firing range. Master the R-301 then start toying with the 99 In the firing range. Get comfortable with the 99 in the firing range then play some PUBS to build in game skill.

The R301 has 14 damage; R99 has 12 damage.

Agree with all the good and legendaries.
Disagree with R99, I'd rather it have more rounds than 30 in the mag than a recoil nerf. I'd say 32 is good.
I think the Spitfire is fine where it is.
No idea what to do with G7, the only time I ever thought it was good was when its fire-rate was through the roof.
Charge Rifle I think is fine where it is. It actually requires you to have a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination to hit for 90 damage. Even if you only hit the last shot, 45 damage is nothing to scoff at.
Mastiff should have an increased projectile velocity buff, but just by a hair. No matter the season there'll always be someone who can consciously time your shots and jump over them at a certain distance. Ricochet rounds would make it much better close quarters but I think would create too much visual clutter.
Mozam at 4 rounds with same damage.

Wtf, am I reading. R99 has too much recoil what? It has like zero recoil. Ofc, if you use it on 3x scope it has too much. Mut 2x is perfect for it. R99 is well balanced now.

I find mastiff now useless. It was fun when it was a drop weapon. But with it nerfed to heck, I pick up eva8 everytime over mastiff.

Spit fire is ok now.

G7 should get a buff, it's useless at it's current state.

Charge rifle is fine, fun to snipe those 400m+ shots because it's 100% accuracy and no bullet drop.

I found a little problem with longbow. It eats a tonne of ammo. With these reduced ammo stacks, I don't like to use longbow because it needs like 4 stacks ammo.

The R-99 is already an incredibly strong gun as is. Giving it less recoil would just make it too easy to get it's insane damage output. I know I cant relate to you struggle as a console player, but this really isn't the gun or the game's fault. Balance is not built around your ability.
