I can tell who is cheating too when I come across one(without spectating) which turns out to be true at least 80 % of the time. I reported my teammate a couple of days for using single fire-macros, as the sound pattern is very noticeable. But hey, but I am living in a fantasy world. 🙂

"That single fire does look suspicious", no its not look suspicious, its clearly a macro/'script. You can try bringing your other hands and clicking with 2 fingers asap, and still your not going to shoot with that speed.
Same with Shroud Hemlock single fire. He was clearly using macros/'scripts. There was a videos about it. He was/is using macros not only in Apex, but in all/almost all games he plays.
And Rogue is ranked number 5 or 6 Apex Predator rank, which kinda tells you the whole story.
As far as how much % is cheating. We could never know for sure. But judging on my experience(before i stop, which was 20-30 days before Season 5 ends) and watching ShivFPS constantly, there is a huge cheating problem in Apex Legends, and whoever is denying that its simply living in a fantasy world.
ShivFPS lately is a mad at Respawn for doing nothing with cheaters. He is screaming so hard in his streams. He is calling that the game is filled with cheaters, and ranked at highest level is full with them. Every single game cheaters. Its his own word. He wanted a "red button" so he solo deal with cheaters and straight up banns them.
And we are talking about obvious ones, where you are 100% sure they are cheating, like aimbots. And there is plenty of soft cheaters too, that is hard to detect, because they are not lasering you like aimbot, so your not 100% sure if they are cheating or not, even if you spec them.
And all cheats are on toggle, so the moment you see an icon of spec, you can simply turn it off.
And we are not even talking about the macros/scripts user yet.
Sometimes its obvious, sometimes its not. ShivFPS is playing this game for 10+ hours every single day, he is top 3 kills on PC, and if you watch him, you will see normal situation where he is just missing most of his shots, and that he could not keep recoil, because of different reasons. This is if you watch his streams, not highlighted videos.
You can clearly see how he struggle before he warms up.
And yet new born streamers are lasering, without any weakness in their play, and they just come to this game, yeah i`m so stupid to believe this.
I was getting a PRO trainer, because i have a few question and when i asked about how should i train my recoil(i usually train it on Apex Aim Trainer and on the dummies), he exactly confirm that, just use macro, most people do it. Not to mention i got a buddy from my country that are creating CS:GO hacks, and i how many streamers are cheating in there too.
You should understand that this streamers are doing everything for the views. They know they need to do something special to get views attention, and when money is involved, you can bet this kids are going to use all kinds of cheats/scripts in order to get that.
At the end i`m not trying to wash your brain. You can think, you can have your opinion and can think whatever you want. Nothing wrong with that, but i have mine that is build through my years of experience.
Tho i can say for sure that cheating in Season 5 was way worst compare to Season 4. There was so much more cheaters in S5. Apex is not an easy game. It has million factors. Building a top aim/movement is not an easy thing, and is not achieved in 20 days, as some streamers are trying to make it out like that, like the millions videos with i got god aim in 20 days using this or this, yeah sure. 15 years old kid can believe that.
