@IDTAKEN192000 Combining twitter, facebook, reddit and this forum equates to tens of thousands of people. There have been news articles published covering the backlash and this forum might be miniscule in comparison but a lot have all said the same thing.
It's really not hard to guess given respawns past updates and i'll quote @hayhor as it'll save me typing.
''Say you are moving across an area. A noob is more likely to be hiding in wait to quickly jump someone going by. In the past, with more shield a higher skilled player might get shot a couple times but be able to duck to cover, heal a bit and then poke kill or rush the noob. The other scenario is if two people come together at the same time. The higher skilled will use cover to do poke shooting while the noob stands there firing. Now the higher skilled cant do that. It is now simply a who fires first game or one where you have to move about ultra carefully.
This is all especially true now that the guns have less recoil and can all be used.''
Basically, a newer or unskilled player now has a better chance of downing someone who has put hundreds, if not thousands, of hours in the game learning to improve. It reduces good players being rewarded in equivalent or lower skilled lobbies when they're doing well as SBMM is a complete wreck.
It's all about equal outcomes, not opportunities and the reduction of the skill gap that players have been complaining about but respawn have been pushing for several seasons now. As such those that are at the bottom will do better, have a higher retention and likely to play and spend more. They have reduced the aggressive playstyle that made Apex stand out and are slowly transforming it into Valorant style gameplay where mobility isn't key but positioning is of higher priority thus reducing the fun and one of the highly acclaimed things this game once had.
The problem is further compounded by the fact that the servers, netcode and audio in this game are going from bad to worse to say the least.
