See through smoke, and invisible mirage?

So, I was playing a round as caustic and i had barraged a door with traps. They went off everything was smoked and it was impossible to see through. Still the enemy on the outside shot me like it was...

@hayhor This happened between the cascades and the Artillery range. One trap on each side of the doors from the inside at the outlook platform. Made the opponent threw a grenade breaking the doors, while me standing on the left side of the room approaching to see if someone would get affected by the smoke but nothing showed up. All of the sudden a got shot from the outside. It just felt very suspicious and started to look into this and found this clip on youtube describing this setting that can be used to remove the effects. Smoke, lightning between wattsons fence,etc. which results in you not seeing any of those effects. They are just not there.

Spraying and praying is of course one thing, but this didnt feel like someone that did that. This was to direct hitting.

Would just be nice to have verification that this setting has been locked or not.

@Uit_de_sloot I looked it up, and I see what you mean. It seems like it's possible that they're doing that.

The glitch also seems to be a trade-off. since if you can't see thermites and gas, you could walk straight into them
