Seeking support for a boy with cancer from China
Hi, here is Sophia, a postgraduate law student in HK. I'm here to seek any possible support for my poor little brother, who is a big big fan of apex.
He is 16 years old now, and he has spent over 2,000 hours on apex in total. He is now a high school student studying in Canada. He has a keen interest in computer technology and game development, who already wrote a tiny game by his own. He also gained an internship experience this year in the Apple company.
Unfortunately, he has been diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma(RMS, a kind of skeletal muscle cancer,which is highly aggressive) in November, 2024. We have no choice but to pause his study, and seek treatment back in Beijing, China for any chance of survival. The cells of tumor already spread over his body, and he is struggling with pain every day. In this despairing moment, as his sister, I want to encourage him by his hobbies, including his best love—--apex.
Sorry for the interruption may caused, but I think it would be very encouraging to him if Apex Official could simply reply with an email to cheer him up, or give him a little gift. We are all desperate and vulnerable before cancer, but if there is still love from the game society to support him, maybe things will become better.
This is the humblest request from a sister with tears. Thank you so much for all the happiness you have ever created for my brother.
