Should the Jumpmaster consult the rest of their team before dropping?

I'm interested in people's thoughts on this.

I'm wondering if the Jumpmaster should have complete free reign where they decide the squad should land or if they should consider what other team members want to go? Being the Jumpmaster is a big role to play in starting out the match. They decide when and where the team drops in on the map. They are essentially the leader of the team, at least for the dropping portion of the game. However, I've been in many matches where the Jumpmaster basically goes wherever they want, even if that's not the best place to land. They go without getting a consensus from the rest of the team. A lot of them, just drop randomly and I don't know where we are going to end up because they don't ping the map at all. Even if I let the Jumpmaster know that I don't want to land there and I think we should land someplace else by pinging a different location on the map, they are still making a beeline to the location they want to go. It's true that you can drop solo and you don't have to land in the exact spot where the Jumpmaster lands. However, this can sometimes lead members of your squad being very far apart and, in a game like Apex, your squad being close to each other makes you stronger. The last thing you want is to find out a team member is getting shot and you have to run half a mile to catch up with him because the team wasn't all on board for where we were dropping. At the end of the day the Jumpmaster is the leader and we should trust them to get us to where we need to go, but like any good leader, I think they need to gauge how the rest of the team is feeling before they make a decision. Not everyone is going to 100% agree where to land. I've been in Skull Town far too many times than I would like, but I think compromises should be at least taken into consideration. What do you guys think?
