@Nandor78 Some people haven't played ranked for a while so the game demotes them to Bronze which is incredibly stupid. Respawn doesn't care about new players like you, otherwise they would make some changes to this system. It sucks but I doubt they will do something about it.
Yea that explains it, and yes, that's not very smart.
Now, Overwatch have a massive problem with smurfs, playing on dual accounts to bully low rankers.
But i think that their system that decides your starting rank of every season, after playing 5 games.
