@Nandor78 It's not necessarily smurf accounts. Most high rank players are still grinding towards diamond+ ranks. What you're probably bumping into are the people who rarely play ranked but are high skill players.
@ILostT0Loba The rank resets are done to keep people playing and give other people a shot at high ranks. If they never reset it the top players would have hundreds of thousands if not millions of RP stock piled and it would be impossible for other players to catch up or have a chance at the high ranks.
@DarthValtrex you clearly didn't get my point. No one is talking about soft reset here, we are talking when multiple tier demotions stack up and you end up in Bronze lobbies where you don't belong and ruin the fun for new players like @Nandor78. Any one with a ounce of brain will agree that predators/masters should not be demoted past Plat.
@ILostT0Loba I understand what you're saying. Honestly it's not that big of a deal, it only takes a few rounds for them to move up into the gold and platinum.
I did not play ranked for a few seasons and was demoted down to bronze, it took me a handful of matches to get the RP to move up into Silver.- @DarthValtrex Yeah but if you have thousands of people who demote, it only takes one game by each to ruin it for newer players.
I myself am an example. I barely play ranked so sometimes I get demoted all the way back to bronze. While it doesnt take me long to move back into platinum it isnt fair for me to be in bronze and silver lobbies. You should not be allowed to demote 1.5 tiers overall, no matter what the rank is.- @hayhor They could just reset the RP without the tier demotion.. Basically season resets the RP but you're still in the lobbies you were in as last split. That would fix this easily.
