Thanks for the great feed back from everyone. Keep it coming there is still some time left in the LTM.
After checking out what you all posted, it looks like there are many comments on different aspects related to Solo's, I have attempted to sift and count them (all mistakes are mine and sometimes I had to infer):
Mentions: 4 Duos should stay.
Mentions: 6 Full of cheaters/teaming
Mentions: 1 Would like to see solo Ranked
Mentions: 3 Loving the Solo Mode
Mentions: 3 Ambivalent to the Solo Mode
Mentions: 10 MM is horrible/no balance (Surprise, not so much)
Mentions: 4 Kitted weapons good
Mentions: 1 50m range finder good
Mentions: 5 50m Range finder bad (does not allow for sneak plays etc)
Mentions: 1 Inability to report suspected cheaters
Mentions: 4 The respawn mechanic is bad
Mentions: 1 The respawn mechanic is bad
What is my take on all of this from what I have seen here, experienced via playing and or seen read somewhere else:
The MM is very very bad, pred level players wiping the floor on casuals and or new players (not Smurfs).
Lots of Smurfs playing the mode.
Teaming and general cheating is out of hand.
Solo's the second time around is probably worse than the first time around.
So lets get Duos back in and say goodbye to Solo's and this time forever.
Either way lets keep the feedback coming.
@Asmodeus566How about let's try fixing the bad? Get rid of the respawn mechanic and the 50m enemy warnings that no one asked for. Make it play like the rest of the BRs. In a couple hundred solos games Ive played Ive only suspected teaming once. I couldnt prove it tho because of the respawn mechanic. Oh and tighten the MM in all modes really.
I get you've been biased against solos from the beginning but the feedback for it isn't any different than the daily feedback for the rest of the game. If we used your logic we'd just delete apex and start over.
Fixing the bad would be great.
Fixing the MM for solo's and for all of BR/mixtape would also be the way to go.
I get why the have the respawn mechanic = player retention/a second chance as it kinda sucks when you get unlucky and die early. Do I like the mechanic no.
I get why the 50m warning was implemented, it is there to counteract what was happening the first time around when solo's was there, to encourage fighting and counter camping/sneaky play.
I do not like that either, it fully removes a viable playstyle.
- @hayhor I agree. But as I mentioned before they could've intentionally turned up the MM to near nuclear levels so that the mode would get bad feedback & as @Asmodeus566 said say goodbye forever.
Basically saying they tried to give us what we wanted & now we can shut up about it & never mention Solos again.
My mm hasn't been that bad, but I've probably played less than 50 games. I was killed by a pred w/ 20 bomb badges today, & I've witnessed some cheating which I'm starting to report, but overall I think Solos is good for this game & should stay. It's a good way for people to practice & improve without being a burden on their team. This is better than just pressing No Fill in Duos/Trios cuz you're not instantly at a disadvantage. We should be able to have all 3 modes at once.
I don't mind the Respawn mechanic cuz it can give way for a "hardcore" Solo mode down the road with normal BR rules. But the 50m warning should be shelved I think cuz it does put players on crazy high alert & I've seen some freak out.
So my verdict is keep Solos & run it along with Duos & Trios 😤!
Please remove the words "always" and guaranteed, bcs roughly 10% of the time, those bins wont give you any weapon.
Also items might vanish seconds after you opened a bin, most likely weapons addons like magazines and scopes.- @r1ggedgame You got any vids of the disappearing stuff?
I've never had a regular loot bin not give a gun on drop. The blue support bins and assault bins do not follow the rule though so if you are dropping on either of those you may not get a gun. The assault bins only guarantee a gun if playing an assault legend.
