There is no solutions to improve teamplay for people that don't care about being a teamplayer. If you play alone it's a roll of the dice.
You can't enjoy this game if you don't work with your team. I think many self centered players will move to other games that have solo play. Those are usually the early quitters when they are downed, they won't be missed 🙂.
When playing with randoms, just be communicative and patient. Share items, ping locations, help the teammates, even if it ends badly sometimes. In other words, show them that you want teamwork. Of course, some of them will ignore it, but those that share the interest will gain hope and promote it further.
