- @WreckingVi I don't get it, most guns outnumber spitfire in terms of DPS. It's frustrating to fight against because of large mag, if you stand still in open against a spitfire and miss all your shots you are gonna get killed by it. But that's basically LMG in every game. Load Valorant and you will see how frustrating Odin/Ares is.
And care package weapons are supposed to be OP, the care package devo is still better than it in every regard. Both Devotion and L-Star are better than spitfire. The whole point of the Spitfire is the large mag, otherwise DPS is definitely not it’s strong point. This gun wasn’t ever OP, people just get scared of it because it keeps firing.
- @KelRiever Yeah most that die to it do so because they get caught in the open or they peak it thinking the person is out of bullets when they still have them.
@WreckingVi I don't mind them buffing it for CP purposes, as stated above they're supposed to be OP.
My chief aggravation with this thing was the mag and lack of recoil also, that and the fact that every game half the lobby was carrying it.
As somebody who runs a sniper most games it really just screwed with my mojo lol.
- @MandatoryIDtag I like to use the spitty as the anti sniper gun. 😀
- @MandatoryIDtag I have to say, I've been running the sentinel for some matches lately, and I am loving it
@hayhor mhm, hence why it's screwing with mojo, everyone is doing the same thing.
@MrCarri-X told you it's superior to the charge rifle. 😛
- @MandatoryIDtag If I see someone using Spitfire in Arenas, I pull out Flatline or L-Star to show them their place. These noobs think holding the fire button for 1 minute makes them good 😏
Thing is, until they come out with another LMG, the Spitfire is still the best LMG. That doesn't mean it is OP, but the LStar is pretty much an early game burner (and not bad at all for that), and the Devo is just ridiculous to handle. Spin up is always a nerf on a gun in any game because frankly you might just be dead before you ever see the high rate of fire shots. Not to mention by then you are breaking your hands trying to control the recoil.
Spitfire always has been fine, I personally thought the large mag capacity was a good design given the rest of the gun is meh. If people had real life LMGs instead of game balanced make you feel good LMGs nobody would ever carry anything else as an option. But because we're all gamers and get mad at the guns that shoot us, rather than credit that the shooter was actually better than us, well we have squirt gun damage on LMGs.
Feels about right.
Now of course we must nerf everything until your smile does too much damage. Sometimes, you know, guns...in a gun game...they kill you even if they aren't OP and that is the point.
