This may once have been true, but when the developer has to ban the top three xbox predators on the same day? Sorry, Apex, but your credibility is zero and normal people should be referring to EVERY top tier player as a cheater. Guilty until proven innocent.
And also, as I said, if the game can't properly keep these people to themselves... can't keep them out of the general population... then they deserve to have their game referred to as a cheater's paradise even if it isn't one. But we all know that it is. The legit players you mentioned? I'll eat my hat if there are any of them left in this game anymore. If you were one, would you really want to play matches every day against people you even suspected were cheating? What would motivate you to play in that kind of environment?
Personally, I'm hoping the player base will plummet even further, sending the development team out the door with a bang.
New people, new ideas will emerge, and maybe one day this game will get back on track.

Would not solve anything, Respawn will just hire devs that do what they are told.
It has a reason why literally nobody of the original devs are still onboard.
Ill bet the company had different views on the game compared those devs, and thats why we have the game in the state its right now.
The source engine brain drain didnt sit well with Apex as we saw, the game in its current state runs 100 times worse than it did in Season 3, and thats after they did the "performance" upgrade to DX12 , lol
Apex is also a story of missed opportunities.
1) They should have licensed the Universe for Tv Shows/Movies back in 2020
2) They should have put more focus on Coop/Single Player Content, but they opted to abandon it.
3) Mixed Input Lobbies are the most stupid thing, the whole Aim Assist Controversy hurt the game a lot (and still does!) and that was foreseeable .
4) The rigged Matchmaking (and ofc the other rigged stuff nobody is allowed to mention), sorry Respawn ... nobody is buying those lies anymore. People will gladly wait a couple of minutes to get a quality match with quality mates .
If they really want to reboot Apex, they better fix those thingsThe only thing they'll continue to do is cosmetic things, balance manipulation, and new items for the store.
With this, they've unfortunately shown how little they care about the game's real problems.
EU is famous for cheaters (mainly wallhacks/scripts), NA for Aim Assist and controller cheats. And choose where and with whom you want to play.
Apex 2.0, when it comes... IF it comes at all, will be typical EA cheapskatery. No new anti-cheat. No new engine. What it will have is "new and improved" matchmaking that will be neither new nor improved, and it will not re-set the gameplay to anything like a sane, old-school level. It will build off the unbalanced insanity we have now. Some legends with super powers, others with nothing. Some weapons seemingly unstoppable, others that do nothing but can't be deleted from the game because of skins. And the other thing that won't change: the army of hard stuck diamonds and masters who spend 90% of their play time on a secondary so they can farm low-skill lobbies. If your matches aren't compromised by cheaters then they're compromised by smurfs. Often times one and the same. That will never go away.
