Probably there was a current Pred missing from your squad = matchmaking works :D

Unfilled teams we've seen for the longest time and guess what ... its on purpose.
why should it all of a sudden appear after some obscure matchmaking changes 4 years ago (didnt happen before 2021) and then never gets fixed ? 
Must be a feature ...

Grind for masters is nearly impossible without cheating, going against masters and pred contantly while in d4 with bbraindead teamates soloq is not enjoyable take the matchmaking back to the way yall had introduced it nobody wants to play with these preds make them wait 10 minutes who cares

Unfortunately Apex has so few and far between good streamers / ranked grinders that stream, in many cases those are pros that pushing their ideas back might lead to massive fan base decline (percentage wise).

I feel like if Hal would stop streaming like 1/3 of all Apex money spending fanboys/fangirls would switch to other game.

Plus as you can see from this thread alone - people are complaining YET still playing this game...that is just a sign to EA that even if experience is bad, people still play and spend money on the game. There is not intention for them to do anything really.

Unfortunately to implement changes you have to be hard on your stance i.e. like me - I said I will grind out season 25 battle pass and quit asap and I did so:

Not sure why people keep getting into the game knowing all of the issues:

• cheaters in Plat+ lobbies basically in every game
• matchmaking that feeds Plat and sometimes even Gold to Preds/Masters
• numerous bugs along the way that are big ones e.g. disconnecting and getting ranked game quit penalty

Logically you either don't play or you just accept that Apex is now combo of this great game mechanics and idea with all the smelly stuff as a package and just play with that mindset "oh, I got killed by a hacker again...no big deal", "oh game crashed during my best game of they day...no worries there will be more games like this", "I play this game "for fun", result is secondary" and so on.

Meanwhile I found myself in a great community of Valorant that actually have low elo teams present and active = no more soloqing. And when I don't want to be 100% locked in -> Deadlock seems to be a good place to be to just run and gun.

I hope to get back to fixed Apex one day but I am afraid that will never happen or Apex 2 or whatever we call it will have such a high hardware requirements that it will be unplayable until I upgrade my PC (given current situation and outlook in consumer market = that will not happen in 2026 :D).

Of course, Cronus Zen also works on PC.

Players from PC also let these cheaters through via console crossplay (friends).

I also see console cheaters in my PC lobby every day.

Therefore, the "crossplay" function should be immediately able to be disabled on PC if someone wants to...

Console Cheating Has Made the Game Unplayable

Hello Respawn Team,

I’m writing this as a long-time, die-hard fan of the game who truly cares about its future. I have invested countless hours and a significant amount of money into this game over the years because I love it and want it to succeed.

Unfortunately, since the beginning of this year, the game on consoles has become completely unplayable due to the overwhelming amount of cheating. There is currently no clean game mode left. Public matches, Mixtape, Ranked, and even Wildcard — every single mode is filled with players using XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, and similar devices.

Gunfights no longer feel fair or skill-based. Every engagement turns into being instantly laser-beamed, regardless of positioning or movement. It doesn’t matter who you fight — the recoil control, tracking, and inhuman consistency make it obvious that external devices are being abused constantly.

This issue has reached a point where the game is no longer enjoyable or playable on console. From New Year onward, it feels impossible to log in and have a fair match. As someone who has supported this game financially and emotionally for years, this is extremely frustrating and honestly heartbreaking.

I’m not writing this out of hate, but out of concern. Console players desperately need stronger and more effective anti-cheat measures against input spoofing and hardware-based cheats. If this continues unchecked, many loyal players will simply walk away.

Please take this problem seriously. We love this game — but right now, it feels like we’re fighting cheaters instead of other players.
