Still seems kinda pointless this season

As a casual player, this season apex just seems kinda pointless to play. Almost every game I am being so out matched it's ridiculous.

Shields gone before i can even blink and then downed before I can react.

Being shot with  amazing accuracy from a long distance..repeatedly

Emptying a clip magazine into an opponent only to have them turn round and kill me with just a few shots.

Popped my head from behind cover a few games ago and instanlty 3 bullet trails passed through the space i just been in - from the distances and spacing, very unlikely these were even all on the same team.

Lost count of the number of times I have been in cover and opponents just knew exactly where i was...even the times there was really no reason to come near me.

Last few seasons I have worked up to being able to maintain an above 1.0 K/D ratio. Not amazing I know, but good enough for me to enjoy the game, this season I struggle to even get a kill most matches. The few times I have been able to get kills/wins are when I just dip below 1K/D and then suddenly get a game with a few kills which then puts me above 1 again and back into impossible games. Possibly as Apex seems to be vastly exaggerating my K/D score - currently my 85 kills and 80 deaths show as a 1.6 KDR - my highest ever but not exactly correct! Also shows how little I have played this season. Could this incorrectly calculated KDR be putting me in matches with people who really have that score?

I know there are a lot of really good players out there, most of them a lot younger and quicker than me, but I really should not be being matched against people this far ahead of my skill and it also just feels like a lot of opponents are, well..not playing fair?

Dunno why I'm posting this really, just disappointed with a game that I used to really enjoy playing. Not sure most matches even qualify as a game as I'm not realistically 'playing', just providing fodder for others.

    No problem.

    I use that from time to time as well for some assistance as well, however English is my mother tongue, I am fluent in German, however my Spanish and Gallaecian is not the best and Google translator helps me out.  

    However we are getting a bit off topic.

    Like I mentioned before we got a little off topic here. Matchmaking can be brutal at times. If you are at or above a 1.0 KD it will get tougher and if your are playing with two friends in a premade sqd it will be even tougher. If you have a decent win rate say 4-5% or above or have been consistently placing in the top 5 this will of course be taken in to MM consideration and you will also get tougher lobbies. 

    I am having a great season and as my win rate has been increasing my KD suffers and when my win rate starts to drop to about 5% my KD gets better. I am getting better at the game but at the same time I am getting tougher lobbies.

    @Asmodeus566 I see. Maybe Google Translator doesn't have a perfect translation function between Korean and English yet. I'll try using another translator in the future.

    I get that the matches should get tougher as my KDR increases, and I am fine with that 🙂

    It's more that my KDR was actually higher last season and i was getting more reasonable, enjoyable and fair feeling matches. This season I seem to be being placed in matches with people with a much higher skill level than myself. As for matchmaking, below is a snip from my stats today:

    Obviously 85 / 80 is actually 1.06, but Apex seems to think this is 1.6. Quite a difference when you're matchmaking! This did drop to 0.99 as soon as my deaths exceeded my kills, and the next match I was able to have a good game and pick up 6 kills. After this, my KDR was exaggerated again and I have been back in impossible games.

    I don't mind facing opponents that are better than me, it's how i have improved so far. It's just pointless at the moment as I learn nothing being lasered down in less than a second.

    To be clear, I did also allude to the fact that it feels like people are cheating. This could also be that they are much more skilled, but there are times when it just doesn't feel that way (i.e. the 3 people firing single shots from distance at exactly the same time at exactly the same spot when i poked my head out. Maybe difficult to explain unless you witnessed it 🤨)

    yeah just run it down till your kda is below 1.5 and you'll be able to have fun.
    Above 2.0 kda are full cheater lobbies , can't play anything else than LTM thanks to mmr ruining the whole game.
