but that's how matchmaking was working since day one.
If you expected to play with/against same skill level players, then that's not how MM works in apex.
You may get in such games, when you play in party and very rarely playing with randoms.
- VersusGravity2 years agoRising Scout@SlivPTS Like why not though? Isn't that the whole point of SBMM? Even in ranked, it feels like most people shouldn't even be in that rank. I've had people in Gold get like 20 freaking damage after 3 fights. That's extreme, but it happens more than it should. Most times both my teammates combined have half of my damage. It's really bad.
Maybe it's just because everyone half way decent in this game just plays in parties exclusively? This season has been better then the previous few, but it's much harder then the earlier seasons, like seasons 4 through 7.
The skill gap keeps shrinking too, but then I get these teammates that are obviously way newer to the game, going against sweatiest 3-stacks.- 2 years ago
But apex don't use SBMM. Yes, they call it SBMM, but it's not. It's Retention Based/Engagement Optimized Match-Making.
If you have played this game for some time, you know. You can play many games in a row against way stronger players and then matchmaking puts you in bot lobby, so you can win. Basically MM decides when you will win/lose. Every game is rigged.
Last few seasons I was constantly dying from pre-made squads of high skill players, when I had 2 random newbies in my squad. And MM gets worse and worse with every season. I lost hope and I am not playing this game anymore.- HappyHourSumwur2 years agoSeasoned Ace
I stopped playing for this reason 3 weeks ago. If/when they address the ALGS hacking I may drop in for an occasional mixtape match, but that's it.
