There are no updates on Linux since Linux was permanently blocked from being able to access the game, and as for why it was blocked in the first place:

I don't think it will be possible to really get a direct answer on a matter like this. Usually with these kinds of cases, there are a lot of rules and policies to be considered. Some other factors would probably be at play as well, so it's not usually easy to get a direct answer. 

Linux was blocked for certain reasons as outlined in the blog that Midnight9746​ has linked.
Personally, I would not see any reason for what you are doing to be an attempt to circumvent said game protections to play on Linux. Considering you are just streaming video and input data, but no direct memory information and processing, the game would technically still run on Windows.

Similarly Steam Remote Play could be considered to do the same, though it does just stream the game to pretty much any platform, not Linux specifically. (I am not aware if this works with Apex)

The hard part of this, is that there aren't really any specific rules outlining that Linux is banned in any EULA or TOS. It practically boils down with the fact that they have Linux blocked as a protection measure, and circumventing that could be considered grounds for account termination.

In this specific case you are not technically circumventing anything, so theoretically it should be fine. (Though it would be nicer if EA's rules on these matters would be clearer, but understandable considering it's usually left vague for interpretation)

So it's likely not really possible to get a definitive "yes" or "no" answer on this matter.
I personally would believe it's fine to do so, though I can't say for sure, as the risk would still exist if it were to be against the rules somehow. And I can't really recommend doing something that would get your account banned.

Would it be like a permanent Ban or just for a few days/weeks?
