Stuck on black screen after continuing

I am currently having a problem where my game is stuck on a black endless screen after pressing continue on the main menu. I have seen reports of the issue where the apex logo loading icon is shown in the bottom right but it is not for me. Additionally, I have tried all of the standard fixes like verifying game files, reinstalling, clearing cache, etc and I have just reset my pc but the issue was present before.
