Suggestion to allow contests for new Skins/Battle Pass Themes & Legends
Hiya, I haven't been active too recently, but I've actually come back to suggest a new idea for the EA team!
PROPOSITION:
I want to propose setting up a contest for those who follow the story and characters of Apex Legends to be able to suggest and vote on new legends/weapons/skins and themes for the battle pass.
I've realized that the most recent legends do not seem to be that special in any way and would like to "help" EA find new creative designers and designs to use.
New Castle, Vantage and Catalyst are just... I don't want to be rude, but kind of crappy lol if I can be so blunt to say that. I think they have decent abilities, but the characters themselves just don't have that homey feel like the past characters EA has put out.
I think it's time EA/Respawn, Apex Legends gets some new creative ideas and juices flowing, that way the business is happy, and the players are happy.
Loba was top tier when she came out, but every character since, I believe we can say needs some help haha.
IDEA:
During a battle pass there will be a contest to create a unique design for the next legend. Designers will have until that battle pass is up to submit ideas and designs, the community will then vote on which they like best (runner-up designs will get a second chance in the next season to become popular again but will be taken out and will have to be re-submitted after 2 seasons) Once the season is up and legend concept will be chosen as the winner and the EA producers will have 2 seasons to create and construct the legend voted into the game. SIMULATENOUSLY there can be weapon suggestions and skin contests as well.
What is required:
1. Solid background
2. Abilities: Passive, Tactical, Ultimate
3. The Legend's name
4. What the Legend looks like
EXAMPLE: So, something like this (using one of my own ideas for this) keep in mind it's been a while since I've gone over this legend concept:
1. Background: Jubilee is a street-side bubblegum maker, after messing around with her recipes she accidentally creates a really strong bubblegum that starts out thick and bouncy, after time passes without being actively used it gets goopy and dissolves in water. Jubilee was found by a man behind the Apex games and sought her out to use blackmail her into joining the games to retrieve/steal an item of interest from another legend or a place in the map.
2. Abilities: Passive - The Sprinkle Affect; basically, gives her an extra jump at the end of falling from a building. She has sprinkle canons attached to her jets that deal a small amount of damage to nearby enemies (say she falls into a squad). Tactical - Bubble Jump; a bubble, similar to octanes launch pad, but can be used to bounce up, and from any direction. Ultimate - Bubble Shield; a temporary shield that enemies cannot penetrate for a small amount of time, as the bubblegum gets thinner from not being used (shooting the bubblegum shield will make it stay up longer) enemies will be allowed to walk through it.
