Surviving in Apex Legends: A Simple Guide

I wanted to share some of my gameplay experience from playing Apex in the hope others might also contribute with some survival tips.

Priorities after Launch:

1. Cover. Finding solid cover is your top priority. You can survive longer if players can't shoot you.

2. Find a weapon. You will need to defend yourself so find a weapon quickly.

3. Make a plan. Identify the location of the next ring and decide where you're going to move to. Press 'm' to look at the full map.

Do's:

Do work alongside your team where possible. Having allies is useful in trying to survive.

Do escape and evade. Control your environment by picking and choosing when to fight.

Do stay in the match. When you are downed it is tempting to abandon your team and leave. If you leave early you cannot win.

Don'ts

Don't try and Rambo the whole map. You will die, and you will be unhappy.

Don't get upset with teammates. Your teammates will most likely help you if you help them.If you really aren't happy just leave.

Don't walk before you can run. Pace yourself when you are learning. Learn to keep yourself alive for longer.

    1. Don't follow jump leader straight to same building they land to, go somewhere near instead.

    2. Run around like maniac and loot anything that's lootable, once you get weapon find your teammates and dump excess stuff on the ground near them and ping it.

    3. You run faster with your weapon holstered, do that to loot buildings faster

    4. Peacemaker and Wingman are your friends.

    Your first tip there is a great one.

    In order to give yourself a better chance of finding a weapon choose a building close to your teammates but ideally not the same one. Find your own little loot patch close enough to your teammates to come to their rescue.
