@flakeeey0304While I agree that matches are comprised of 33% Pred Horizons (thats 50% if you’re playing Duos), I disagree with the sentiment that high skilled players are ruining the game.
In pubs, if you are below average you should probably win at below average rates. Average players should win at average rates and above average players should have above average results.
That isn’t the case because matchmaking does indeed lump the majority of high skilled players into the same lobby. I win less than 1% of my games because I am above average exclusively playing the top 1%, not because I am below average.

LOL. I've never uderstood the need for people to use the terms "sweaty" and "try hard". When ever I see someone use it then I assume you are someone who doesn;t try to win at all and finds a corner to camp and hide.

Assume all you like, if you don't understand then you're probably the exact kind of player I am talking about. I have no problem with people trying their best or going for wins, that is the aim of the game after all; what I can't stand is players playing like it's algs in pubs & holding hands every fight because they need 1K wins every season. I am sure it's hard for a sweat like yourself to comprehend that it is possible to enjoy the game without playing like your life depends on it. Also for the record camping is boring, would rather fight as much as possible & win, but landing on no weapon because there's too many teams in one spot is boring for me personally. I prefer to fight 1-3 teams off drop & then fight whoever I run into.

@flakeeey0304Are you exclusively playing in pub lobbies with masters and preds? (Where the entire lobby is Master and Pred?)
I’m pretty sure I am average or at least slightly above average. I have hit Masters each season since it’s inception and am currently top 100 in several categories (headshots, kills, revives; although many of these metrics have beem stunted by stricter matchmaking) for Path on console. Despite this, I am still not good enough to consistently beat the top 1% of mechanically skilled players on console.
When you are stuck in bottom of the top MMR bucket, you can be better than 90% of the population with results worse than 90% of the population.
- 3 years ago@Axs5626Sxa5001 No, well at least not this season; I think the ranked changes have pushed Masters/Preds into playing more ranked. That being said I am still up against 3 stacks with 10K+ kills & 1K+ wins this season every day I play. If you're Masters & have hit that consistently you are way above average: the majority of players are in Gold & Platinum after all. Highest I have ever been is Diamond 2 & I immediately went back down to 3 so I don't consider myself amazing, but I solo q so it is always going to be harder playing with randoms against stacks. When my friend still played our duo win rate was 20%+ & one of the reasons he quit was because the 80% or so matches we weren't winning we were getting absolutely demolished & the games we did win were often well fought. You can't win every match in Apex, that's a given, but it's the losses against these insane players that make you feel hopeless (like a child losing to a pro athlete or something). I am rambling on...

I hear you and I appreciate your response. I also think you are genuine in your feelings. I guess I’m just trying to highlight that RANDOM/NO matchmaking would technically be more “fair” than the current matchmaking.
I don’t know. It just sucks losing ALL the time, knowing that less proficient people win more because they are not getting abused in the “top bucket” MMR.
