Terms of service regarding text chat Apex Legends

Question regarding what will get you banned on apex via text chat

Is it swearing in any kind or just if it is said in a manner that harasses someone else? If someone accidentally drops an F bomb in the chat but doesn't say it to someone in a hateful way will this also get you banned?

Just looking for clarity on the situation. Thankyou

@EA_Blueberry was hoping if you could shed some light on this situation. Trying to make sure I am able to keep my account and stay in line with what EA is expecting of me 🙂

    @1800-MrPrez I'd recommend you avoid using profanity in text chat st all times bud. If you were to be banned for the example you stated it would be kinda stupid imho....however it would be a sanction you couldn't successfully appeal despite no direct offense being meant.

    Better to just box smart. 😛

    Keeping up with posts on this forum and reddit will show that you absolutely can be banned for dropping a curse word in text chat.  Intent seems to be irrelevant.  I've seen lots of people reporting bans for using a swear while talking about what the enemies just did to them.  Don't do it.
