Hello! Having a similar experience, I had great games, I even won one! Then I got placed in rookie 3. I believe the mm is taking the hidden mm from pubs and applying it to ranked, I don’t think placement does anything 😂. It trying to give us space to climb, so worse players, like myself, will have a lower rank, and most likely stop when they hit gold. But, if you got plat or diamond, you’ll be in bronze or silver to give you a head start so you don’t quit playing becase it takes to long to get to your desired rank. It seems like a system put in place to promote you to a similar spot you would have been demoted to (or to rookie if you aren't aim god 🙂 )
I really think the placement matches system is messed up, broken.
There are players that were preds last season and played their placement matches doing absolutely nothing and just ratting to top 5 or better and getting lots of LP like between 2-4k without a single kill or dmg being done.
That's just disgusting while players that actually played their placement matches and won a game get around 500-1200 LP.
Where is the balance in that?

This what I mean with the ambiguity of it all.
I got, if I remember correctly 1265 LP for my win with 1 kill and two assists. My teamates had 3 kp each.
@Asmodeus566Waht did you all expect, that respawn all of a sudden is the beacon of transparency ? Lets face it, it was rigged and its still rigged.
i get the usual concrete boots as mates (10 time in a row, not a single one had decent amount of kills to his name, nor did thay match my KD) , they die off in 40-60 secs , and i have to rat myself to the points still rookie 3, while the heavens are full of purple and red divetrails ... gimme a break.
4 years of rigged matchmaking, a fool to believe they suddenly changed a thing ... i guess it had a reason why nearly all of the core developers who initially worked on Apex are all gone ... they didnt want to be affiliated with the crap the company had in mind with their game.@Asmodeus566Win with 4 Kills 1 assist equals 328 Points ... anyone getting less ? more than rigged i would say.
the same rigged bullcrap as they did with ranked arenas, they set up certain players to fail so other can get the easy climb. and if they still win , just give them breadcrumbs ...
meanwhile the pros get the points blown up their behinds for nothing :

Samy Duc, im waiting for that explanation... it will be a the laugh of the year if not the decade (debunked in the matter of hours by our infamous dataminers) !
Competitive Integrity ... seems like its a fluid expression, means something completely different to some of us than written in respawns dictionary- @Asmodeus566 This was meant to happen. This MMR with placement matches is somehow similar to what Paladins uses and from my experience with it, it is as inconsistent as any other system.
Now you have people wondering why someone with an obvious worst performance is being rewarded a better rank than people with better performance. Dunno why people thought this was going to be an improvemet Frankly, I’m frustrated with the lack of transparency on this topic, they gave us an outline that did not actually detail what was going to happen. Now we see deliberate bias towards the better / streamer players. Hidden mm should not form a bias towards better players, it should give a set amount of points as was assumed by the community. From my pov, this ranked system is absolute, utter garbage so far.
- @BigMacAttack8u just wait, they will release another phony blogpost to try to explain why its not biased (or in my words plain and simple : rigged) and yet again the dataminers will prove it wrong ...
