The “Pound for Pound/Best Bang for your Buck” Gun in Apex Legends

Obviously there are many things to consider here:

1) DPS

2) Recoil pattern

3) Availability

4) How many attachments it takes to level the gun up.

5) Versatility (is it good up close and or at range)

Am I missing something?

Anyway— I believe the Havoc secures the top spot in so many these categories that it’s actually OP in the current state of the game. And I think it’s an issue because the gun is so common.

Thoughts?

@BigBlackCaustic  i use arc stars as weapons.  Anything designed to kill is a weapon. 😛

I use random teammates as tools. Mainly because they are tools,in every sense.

Hammerpoint P2020, if I had to choose a loadout for each game that'll be my secondary 100% of the time, put a blue or purple mag on it and you can even shred people with armour lol

@DarthValtrex This is true. I always carry a good secondary quick gun when running a havoc. When traveling that secondary becomes my main quick pull. The havoc allows me to snipe and works well while in a fight where you know where people are tho.
  • given the chance to collect accessories.......Prowler hands down, as long as you can find the select fire........

@MandatoryIDtag I totally agree. Last match I played I had a G7( for ranged encounters) and a golden prowler to absolutely MELT anybody who came too close. We ended up winning the game, so I agree, it's really important to have a nice, hard-hitting gun like the Havoc and something fast, like the prowler as a secondary. I don't particularly use Ult accelerants as Crypto much, but....

@ThatCryptoUser  I use my EMP a lot, whether its on the push or just to make life difficult for another set of players fighting.

Seems silly not to really when it takes a few seconds to fire off and you can start that countdown whilst closing in on your victims. 😛

Early game (i.e. no upgrades): L-Star, Havoc
Mid game (i.e. 1-2 upgrades): Wingman, PK, Hemlok
Late game (i.e. 2-4 upgrades): Prowler, Flatline, R301

It's good to see the Prowler is finally getting the respect it deserves.
I was telling everyone that post-buff, it is better than the R99 (comparing both with full upgrades; obviously R99 is better in a "no selectfire receiver" situation)
No one believed at first but now it seems they do

Flatline and R301 will max upgrades are both nuts
Flatline is basically a better Spitfire + better Wingman combined (late game)
R301 is basically a better RE45 + better Scout combined (late game)

    Prowler + Flatline/R301 destroys
My personal preference is Prowler + Kraber but you can't always find the Krab
