The ALGS effect
Post ALGS we all assumed that Valk would be the number one picked legend and they gave away Valk for free last season during the anniversary event. Not only that, Seer has been climbing up the pick r...
Seer climbed up the ladder again. He’s now the 4th highest picked legend for masters and preds in all modes.
Personally, I find far too much emphasis is placed on pick rate alone for adjusting character balance.
@hayhorI wasn’t suggesting she was bad, I was just pointing that she probably had a lot of people maining her, and that’s why her pick rate was so high. As we al know valk is way more OP than horizon. To answer your other post, I suggested community surveys would be a nice replacement to pick rate and win rate, or respawn could play test them once in a while.
@KyldenarIt can't be a lie if it's true tho? I didn't wanna get into this for obvious reasons but, let me say it again - Valk is the only legend that requires no skill to move around. Path's grapple requires aim, miss your mark and overshoot your landing you wait the full amount of time till it's ready again after cool down. Pretty much the same idea with any movement based ability too for any character aside from maybe Horizan but her movement option is limited and enemies can use the gravity lift too.. With Valk you hold down a button, that's it. And if you mess up, just press it again as it never really fully runs out if you have any idea how to use it. It's pretty lame tbh. And we all know the ult is pretty much the strongest one in the game rn. In the ALGS I was so disappointed to see players fly up as high as they can in the final ring while other players are fighting it out and just drop down and shoot everyone in the back real quick. With any other character chances are they would be dead. Sad really. This Respawn dev speaks of diversity? LOL indeed. This is blatant planned meta if I ever saw it.
