@BigMacAttack8u Horizons pick rate is high because she is extremely good. No stun on fall means you can make some incredible movements. And her tactical moves her entire team silently to height. Even her ult isn't bad like people say. Good players really know how to use it.
@hayhorI wasn’t suggesting she was bad, I was just pointing that she probably had a lot of people maining her, and that’s why her pick rate was so high. As we al know valk is way more OP than horizon. To answer your other post, I suggested community surveys would be a nice replacement to pick rate and win rate, or respawn could play test them once in a while.
- @BigMacAttack8u I don't agree valk is far more OP than horizon. Actually since I've been playing Maggie horizon continues to be the legend I hate the most, followed by seer. Valk has never bothered me like she does for some people but I do agree her kit is a bit too good.

A sample size of 13.7M will always be better than a survey.
A better comparison, if we need to make one, would be with S7 Horizon.
- @Cheese9Man Exactly. Looking at play data is much better than a survey or some thread of redit or here. People are much too biased to defend their main or hate on the character that kills them most because they see them more or don't know how to counter them.
People forget that Horizon was the height meta right before Valk made height meta even easier. And Horizon was nerfed.
The characters are super imbalanced at this point. Multi height meta and scan meta characters, have shown what Respawn cares about and doesn’t. Crypto screwed? Whatever. Wattson only used in full queue teams at the top .1% of play? ‘Perfectly balanced!’ Lifeline on life support? Totally ok. Just add a new character and keep on moving!
It is saved because it is still predominantly a gun game but you are setting yourself at a disadvantage is what happens. Also, if you aren’t sinking cash into skins, you shouldn’t feel too attached to switching characters. But I think it’s pretty clear why people concentrate into a top 5 group of picks.
