K an older thread I know, but the situationās still the same. I get the frustrating no-can-switcheroo of guns, but thatās not the one Iām commenting on now.
So yesterday I went inside that ring. I never go inside it... usually I avoid that POI in itās entirety. But last squad... we know where they are. I wanted to box with them... One guy tried but failed so he ran back out... I chased him thinking heās not going away. So he gets his guns out obv and Iām like 2/3 secs behind so Iām thinking heās dead when my guns finally come... but even after 4 secs after I left the ring my guns didnāt come out... so this guy is shooting me and Iām thinking āWHERE ARE MY GUNS?!?ā so I think maybe I have to use the shoot button... I punch... so Iām like āwait... they donāt actually want me to actively unholster my own guns before I can shoot?!ā. Well they did... at the 5th second I finally got my guns out...
I couldnāt believe it. You have to actively unholster your own guns even when you didnāt holster them before going into that ring? Thatās just stupid. I know, I know, if you play apex this long you should know about this inconvenient feature. Itās definitely on me for not knowing this (downed the guy btw) but I still think itās ridiculous that it didnāt automatically holster your gun as soon as you step out. Youāre already at a disadvantage if thereās other squads waiting outside the ring...

- @Koochi-Q Yes the Boxing Ring is annoying and buggy and the devs don't seen bothered. If you go in with a weapon you come out holstered and you have to unholster your weapon to fire. You also get a second or two of 'none audio' so if someone fires at you immediately you cannot hear it.
And yes, you can't switch weapons in the ring. The other day I had a Spifire with a x2 and a Bocek with a x1. I went in with the Spitfire and found a x3 hop up which I wanted to put on the Bocek but if I had done that in the ring it would have taken the x2 off the Spitfire, so I had to jump out the ring to switch to the Bocek and jump back in again.- @EdwardDLuffy Ohhh right, that thing. Fair point but like I said, I never go into the darn thing so that didnāt even register :P

But like @hayhor said... no one, two for us (I wouldnāt know cause I donāt go in there. You see my msg before recent one? I was the last who replied in february. Since then I have been inside that ring less than 7 times. When I was inside there were no squads near us or shooting at us so I never noticed anything with the ring except that you canāt use weapons.) Console gamera! Iām not fancy like you with your pc! STOP LOOKING DOWN ON ME ā¹ļø@Koochi-Qpushing like crazy with anime tunes? Just take my money, sign me in! Where is your channel??
Yeah, the problem with the ring is that every time I get out I can't hear shooting, steps.. actually anything. I need to wait for ages until I am able to withdraw weapon. The only way is to leave the ring on the side where I am sure no one is around.
Worry not, I think console is way better. All my friends are switching to consoles and they say console lobbies don't have cheaters. I don't know if that 's true but still :/
- @EdwardDLuffy I nearly died due to this the other day. Just like wtf why isn't my gun coming out. It's even worse with input latency. Also having to jump in and out to swap weapons is ridiculous.
@Koochi-Q Anime tunes? Is that what we're calling the noises that come out of you? xD
- @Koochi-Q I am surprised pro gamers like you still don't know this but you can change both weapons inside the ring š
I mean the highlighted is always highlighted but if I just press number 1 or 2 depending which weapon I want to change and it always works fine š
Of course working highlight would be much better.
The only real problem with the ring is the delay related to everything when leaving the ring.- @NolanGraysonnn You cannot change weapons on console. There is one switch weapons button and it does nothing.
The ring being punch only with a shield around it is dumb and has no place in this game.
