@r1ggedgameApex is down to 47k players on Steam today . . . less than TF2 (17 years old!) and out of the Top 20. Apex has just hurtled off the cliff. I'll always hold out hope that it can be resurrected, but right now things are at an all time low.
I agree with the comments saying Apex is dead for solo queue players. I am (was?) one and have moved on to Fortnite of all games. Never thought I would but it's actually very fun. Much more low key, lots of variety, humor, nice graphics on a quality game engine (Unreal 5), and you still get tense fights and end games at times to get your competitive juices going.
@HappyHourSumwur Generally, it might be the worst year for all the biggest studios. Maybe it's a bit early to say that, but there's some gear change going on right now in the industry. Game studios with stick shifts can avoid the crash, but studios with automatic gearboxes will crash.
