The Oxymoron of Solo Mode
You see, I quite liked Solo mode. It was a nice break from having to deal with 8/10 bad teams in vanilla games. Now its a case of having to deal with people who don't drop as a team and people who d...
Team mode needs fixing, especially since Apex is a team oriented game. There are many other modes that can be created, with well thought rules to rely on players communicatiing, protecting the teammates, sharing loot, etc.. Solo mode doesn't fix anything, it just makes things worse in the long term, as it shifts the focus away from teamplay, towards ways that often get the entire squad boxed when applied in team mode. It was wrong to be added at this point, the game should've had like 4-5 team modes and be a bit older, with a better established name and steadier playerbase.

"SOLO shifts the focus away from team play"
But there is no team play... playing with randoms is nightmare.
Devs MUST somehow induce team play... by give points for playing in team and by punishing when player goes solo, disconnects.
At this moment they are doing nothing to fix the game.
"Solo mode doesn't fix anything"
BS. It gives option for players who HATE to play with randoms.
I feel like this is most team based games when playing with randoms
Even noticing it ALOT more in Overwatch in competitive play id say out of 15 matches 10 of them had leavers which really hinders your team and there goes your score...and most of those the games were even
Apex it more apparent because of the quick matchmaking and no real wait times, but in normal modes i dont care if they leave or go solo, im really not losing out, i still play and these days somewhat have fun
But as for ranked never really see it, most of the time group sticks together, though i get ALOT of ppl no following my pings to a destination though i ping first, i imagine im grouped up with 2 ppl who are allready grouped and decided that THEY wil do there own thing...not saying they NEED to follow me but would be nice if they pinged instead of running off
