Sure, one more gun, one less that isn't the issue.
I feel like it is hard to counter because of the high damage it does at close range as compared to the other shotguns.
I have found this online. not sure is very accurate, or updated. the search reported an update 2 days ago... when S9 was released.

PK has a higher damage but a lower RPM, a smaller magsize and you have to reload the whole chamber which can mean the difference between winning a fight.
Mastiff on the other hand may lose to PK damage wise but it's compensated by a faster RPM,bigger magsize,you can reload 1 bullet at a time, and you can tap ADS to choke the spread.
So in conclusion PK is a gun that you must win as fast as possible but a prolonged shotgun fight Mastiff would win.

They could balance both, or just place them both back in the care packages.
Why not making a distinction between PUBS where both guns drop as now, and Ranked, where they are both in care package?- 5 years ago@Vdstrk It can work with placing them in care packages but I'm not a fan of having pubs different from rank cause at most I use pubs to practice and that wouldn't really mean much if there's a difference between the two modes. I'm not even a fan of having pubs/rank different from pro for the same reason but that's for a different topic.

I am not sure what you mean. Would pubs just be a warm up for you? Why would it matter if an enemy would use a gun or the other in a warm up?I think i kinda see your point. Would you rather have a single game mode and that would be ranked? I would agree with you on it.

I completely disagree. The peacekeeper feels great right now. I’ve grown so tired of fighting spitfires and mastiffs, a gun that can devastate, that requires skill to use, is exactly what we needed and what many of us wanted. It’s significantly weaker with the stats they gave it compared to carepack PK, and like stated earlier, has its pros and * versus the other shotguns. I’ll be honest, any claim that the PK is OP right now is pretty far fetched when the loot pull is littered with guns far superior that require 0 skill to use(see spitfire, volt, r301, bocek)
the peacekeepers is just the most satisfying shotgun to use, and I suspect that’s why you’re seeing it, not because it’s “OP” Something about the sound of the shot when you crack someone and down them simultaneously it’s just music to my ears.....
it doesn’t need a nerf, it just needs appreciated.

I think the shotguns are balanced fine like you said. Have I used the PK a lot? Sure. But that's more because it's been in exile in the care package for almost a year lol. The Bique is quite effective with the extra shots. Mastiff still is pretty strong. Eva imo is every bit as deadly up close as the PK right now.
So far my honest evaluation of the PK is its more of a preference. Its the pump shotgun of the group. If you are good with pumps, you will be good with PK.
That said, I've already seen plenty of instances where at point blank I'm hitting for 25 or less damage with the PK...just like old times lol. The inconsistency seems to be back.- 5 years ago
@ArchAngeL-PCX I agree. Now we have three balanced shotguns (maybe Mastiff is slightly weaker?). I tried using the PK and it's not OP at all, just like Eva. Two different options but similar in the end.
The only gun needing a slight nerf is the bow imo. The rest is just fine (from what i've seen for now).
