The RE45

I really can't seem to get used to it's rapid fire. I love the feel of it but it's like an uzi, and I can only spray someone consistently from close range.

I guess I need more practice with it cause I never use it. Whenever I pick it up my shots either hit, or hit in the beginning- then go all over the place, which is not good enough for light ammo guns. I'm going to try tapping so the recoil doesn't go nuts next time I use it, have not tried that yet

There's another issue EA/Respawn need to consider, and that's everyone has a potential 200 health. So ... yea, 'weaker' guns as the meta shifts like the RE-45 may need buffs as things change. And we could definitely use... more guns in general. But as guns do more and more damage, people are going to get melted which sucks after you collect all your gear. So maybe reducing... every gun's damage by the same % or having armor give more health might be helpful. not sure

@Huntinwabits  The RE45 is a really good gun, I agree. It does throw me a little bit off though, even with all the attachments so I tend to favor the Alternator and then the R-301 instead :eahigh_file:

If I have the hop-up I prefer the 45 over the alt, especially if I have a purple mag.  I treat it like a R99 and my second is a sniper, skullp longbow if I can get it.  If no hop up I look for the r99 as my close up gun. 

It feels good when you come sliding full speed past enemys in cover and get a perfect hipfire magdump in on them with the re45.

This mind set is actually the RE-45’s main strength as most people completely underestimate this guns staggering CQC ability, especially with Dis Rounds equipped, specifically bar aide they struggle with it themselves...

 

Tap firing is a waste of time to be honest. It’s literally a pocket R-99 so is just as attachment dependent as it’s big brother to be any kind of viable outside of CQC but it’s lower DPS means you can’t put out enough damage for it to be effective unless it’s sustained fire whereas that is an option on the 99.

My favourite thing is when you first land and find one of these with a load of people around you. It just unloads so quickly. It's up there as far as top gun, to me anyway.
