I have never really put my mind to it and actually tried to grind ranked, but... I have decided to this season and I have to say its so tough! I'm trying to think of what it could possibly be... Teammates? Luck? New map? Personal skill level hit its peakI have been stuck in Plat 4 / early Plat 3 for ages and haven't had a win for god knows how long, its a constant battle between going up into Plat 3 and then back down into Plat 4. I don't know what to do at all but it is honestly so sole destroying... even when I try to go into PUBS just to get some kills and practice I am getting shredded! Personally, I think I'll have more luck on the 2nd split when it is back to worlds edge on a map that I know because I just don't know all of the nooks and cranny's on Olympus...Has anyone ever tried the push through Plat in recent seasons? I just can't see how people get out of it, there's like 5-8 squads left in the final circle of my games! It's such a step up from gold!

Not to be confused with Sean Connery...Well Sean tried Ranked when it first came out and as predicted, bronze, silver & gold were a breeze solo Q even tho in gold ppl were already playing like simpletons who could not shoot and just went straight into a building and hid in corners without even gearing up... Even if Sean unmuted his mic and wanted to say “stop sitting in the corners and come fight” he always said “Shtop sh***n in the cornershand come fight”. So likely nobody understood him cause every match it was the same story...He got to plat and it was the same story but here ppl got medals for doing this thing it seemed. Ungeared ppl. 4/5th circle and still 8 full teams or even 0 ppl downed after 2-5 min of playing...So Sean did not do ranked again... BUT even after that it seemed that those ppl who he played ranked against went to pubs. But here they could shoot... So in Ranked they don’t shoot as they have much to lose. In pubs they can shoot as they’re not punished for it. So yea dont do ranked cause it’ll effect your pubs queue. If you got high those ppl will join your pubs queue. You’ll only get masters, preds, diamonders & plats seemingly.

@Koochi-Q 100% accurate on this statement, as I said before, in ranked they have a lot to lose, in pubs if they make some amount of kills but leave the game when they get knocked, it won't count the death just the kills, so they can boost their KD and flex with it

@rockyboy1998 Honestly you're an above average player. The few rounds we payed you were pulling off some really nice plays and some really nice 1vs3's.

Above average stats are going to get you into the harder SBMM lobbies.

as I said before, platinum is like a black hole.
everyone get there then get sucked into it without a way to get out, the reason is it's in between the good and bad players.
you will get a mix of diamond and gold players so the players in diamond got ranked up either because they are a premade or they are really good and the gold still in gold due to their skills or they are very unlucky
so most properly you will get matched with plat and gold teammates but you will encounter plat 1 and 2 with a diamond player which most properly will be a premade, this is where you should know that you are *.
99% of solo players will get stuck in plat and am one of them, the only time I was able to rank up to diamond was in season 3 when I was playing with friends but unfortunately, these friends left the game and never looked back and, I still wonder why they did that 🙂

@rockyboy1998 I know your struggle, i always play solo and last season i managed to reach Diamond both splits. But S7 is really hard for me. I'm enjoying far less the game because of the bugs and the map design so right now i'm just stuck at plat IV. My KD dropped from 1.40 of S6 to a 1.09 this season, a lot worse, shows how much i am struggling and not liking the game now. I've always found plat IV harder than the other tiers( I, II and III), so i hope that once i finally manage to get out of plat IV the grind will be easier.

@Koochi-Q I play every game competitive, so I am not gonna stop the grind. I'm just trying to find some motivation to power on through.
