Apex is still the best battle royale out and maybe one of the best hero shooters in general. the hate is crazy on this game lately and i think it was needed for the game. can’t wait for the player base to come back and see the changes the game has made. i’ve been playing again and i can’t stop thinking about the game again. it’s so much fun.
Not sure exactly what it would take to bring people back to a six year old game. The developer continues to make what looks to me like very short-term decisions designed to offer immediate appeal to the most casual players. As someone who has stayed around for every day since launch, I just can't see how Nessies improve gameplay. Or an invisible legend. Or, or, or, the list goes on. I'm always hoping for something to happen to remind me what I love about the game, and the OG King's was a pretty good idea. But no matter what the dev comes up with or how well they execute, you still have a game where every other enemy I see has me wondering if they're a cheater or the luckiest guy on earth. And the "luck" answer only holds water if it's once in a while. When it's all the time then suddenly "cheater" is the only answer that makes any sense. Cheaters. Bad matchmaking. Call it whatever you want. It's still crippling to the game and none of it is going anywhere any time soon.
Agreed, while it could use more gamemodes (take inspiration from rivals and fortnite) its a great game and I have a blast everytime I play.
It receives hate from people like myself who absolutely loved the game when it was the greatest game ever. It is so sad, considering the first few seasons was such a massive success. I left when Olympus arrived.
It gets hate because I loved this game as well and now it’s unplayable due to lack of hit reg or wayyyyy too many different abilities or whatever else they keep adding that has taken away
It kills me every **bleep** time I try to play this game because it was so fun for so long. Only in 2024 did I really start to not be able to play anymore. No number of videos of me clearly hitting a full clip on someone and getting 42 damage will make respawn care enough. I know people hate to admit it, but I can tell you that if I’m not playing this game, then yes it’s dying. I want every reason to keep playing and I just can’t.
