The current state of SBMM is actually helping you and hurting skilled players though. The ENTIRE reason companies use SBMM is because it’s statistically proven to net you (a lower skilled player) more wins than you would have had the lobby been populated randomly.
This is done because if players are winning, they are most likely “enjoying”— and are more inclined to spend money.
It’s literally ALL about money.

and if you have an examples to prove what you are saying please mention it and i will mention why you are wrong .
what is skilled player ????? can we say 2+ K/D is a skilled player ?
is it the amount of kills or total wins , how the system know which player belongs to which lobby .
no one knows ok ? but i will tell you what i know .
i know that it's not hurting the (skilled) players because they are getting easy kills and wins when they get match with players who is faaaaaaar away from their skill so sure they are enjoying but if they get matched in a lobby that actually match their skill they have to work very ...very hard to get the win and this is what a sweaty is and this is the type of encounter that the casual player is facing .
i know that the system is not protecting anyone so everyone should stop saying that because how the system is protecting when there is two or three premade pred and master squads getting matched against platinum or gold squads ( ranked) and with players who still between 200 -300 level matched with a third lvl 500 and they all have an average 1.5 K/D .
what ever this squad do they will end up dead to the pred squad , so where is the fun in that ????
so is SBMM working ? yes but not working correctly .
how ? well when you play very bad for few matches and i can safely say 10 matches then your lobby will become easier but don't be fooled as it will not be that much easy ok , but the first match you win then you are back to sweaty lobby .
another thing you said that SBMM is better than random match making , are you sure that now the match making is not random ?
i know that it's random matching when i see a mix of level 100,200,300,500 even players with 70 and 60 (SMURFS ) matched with preds and masters .
it's either random OR these preds actually sucks and they boosted or the above mentioned levels are pred skilled .@maximas1986Unfortunately your post is a bit incorrect in a couple instances- One you bring up ranked, which Axs is not talking about.
2- Sbmm is live and well in pubs. How do I know? I consistently play this game daily with a friend. If we have a good run of games we get put in brutal lobbies. If we then have bad games, they put us back where we likely belong or lower. Yes sometimes predators get placed in lobbies that do not make sense. This could be because they found a way around the sbmm or the devs dont want long queue times.
The issue solo queuing for top players is the sbmm matches them with randoms of many times a low level but puts them in lobbies with many high level squads.@hayhori believe SBMM is the same for ranked and pubs the only difference that it's not matching people with less that 1 .5 tier from each others .
if you are not facing try hard lobbies much then take advantage of it because it will not last long , i don't know whats your states but am very sure it's not that easy for me .
very near example just yesterday i was playing alone and i can say it was ok then my friend sent me a msg asking me if i wanna play so i said fine .
he joined my party and we ready up , champion squad screen is up and guess what .....boom triple preds and one guy had 29000 kills on lifeline which is more than all three of us combined.
so that was a bad luck or what ????
if it's bad luck then why it happened again and again and again after that and only when someone joined my party which by the way he started playing the game last season only and he still lvl 150 +
