I more so think that people would prefer games to be places where they can escape the real world. Which is the case for the majority of the games on the market, so it appears foreign for a lot of people. Apex Legends is the only game that I'm personally aware of who makes these kinds of badges or/and announcements. And certainly it's nice to have the awareness spread about things like Black Lives matter or Pride or what's about to come. But like I said, I think this is what people are referring to. I mean, sure, there's probably also a partition of homophobes who spoke about it, no doubt.
But let's be honest... Isn't the prime goal to make everyone feel equal and normal? As a Bisexual and potentially trans person myself, it doesn't help to be treated special for one month, only to be viewed as an alien again once that's over. No, what I personally want is that when I say that I'm having a boyfriend, that people reply with "Ah nice, what they're like?" instead of "You're bi???" - I want to be normal, not special.
@Peri_Longbow_plz fortnite goes more for the skin look rather than a badge to represent different people's. I'm looking forward to see if Apex give us a Patrick's day badge next year. 😃 like fortnite (anyone notice the rainbow?? 😃)
Everybody is special, all the time. A reminder does no harm at all.

I hope they make more badges that have intolerant people flip out.

At Respawn, we strive to be inclusive in the games we create and how we treat our employees and our players. Inaction is a choice and hurts those we care for.
With that said this thread is a necro, i'm closing it down.
