Tired of seeing predators and way better players, plz explain

Can someone explain to me how sbmm works in this game in pubs? is it even there? is it working at all? What logic decides a previous season predator with 5+kd, 20k kills, should be in the lobby with...

My best ranked rating is like... gold 1, I think. And in my last 4 battle royale games (in a row!!) I've been absolutely murdered by 20 bomb 4k ttvs. Not too fun. Then all of a sudden I'm in in a lobby with a level 20 champion! "Okay," I think. "Maybe things will go better for me this game." But wait! A pred?! Maybe they'll get killed. They are going to the hot drop after all. Fast forward to the final 2 squads. I've seen nobody all game. And all of a sudden, I'm dead, and the pred has a 22nd kill.

In summary, this game is fun. Most of the time. But some days, it's a chore to play.

    The amount of players above Gold/Plat are too few to start games reliably. This isn't the only game that has this problem right now. It might be fair but it is unreasonable to make Diamond+ players wait 30 minutes just to get a game.

      To put things abit in perspective:

      I'm a season 0 player, and when I started I was totaly new to BR and multiplayer FPS shooters.

      Season 3 was by far my best ever season, I had so much fun and won a good amount of games..

      After season 5 , everything went down the *..

      Back then I was a bangalore main. Right now I have 4200 kills with 198 wins on bangalore (most part pre season 5).

      After season 4/5 I started playing more pathfinder. Right now I have 5300 kills and only 115 wins.

      See a trend here?

      my s3 win rate was over 4.3% which translates roughly in a win 1/25 games.

      s4/s5 as well, over 4% winrate

      Now I barely hit 1.5% which means 1/75 games is a win, whilest still improving every season (although I think i kinda hit the sealing at this point)

      I do be getting more kills, but it's impossible to win a game these days! 

      And in all honnesty, since s7/8 I'm not playing for wins anymore. I'm scared of winning just because the stupid system puts me in to lobbies way beyond my skill level.

      So I drop hot or close to teams so I can get kills early on. once I stack up a few kills and go down, I mostly just leave.

      If you guys aren't bothered to fix your damn game, I'm not bothered in any way to play it as we are supposed to be.

      @Hanonaut I see where you are comming from. But the skillgap is just wayyy to big. As a plat player, I don't mind fighting diamonds. where I draw the line are the masters and preds, they have no business in a lobby like that.
      It's ok if that happens on a few occasions.. As being said before, they are not unbeatable. but ffs, give us a brake..
      put the masters and preds into their own pubs lobbies. and grab a few high diamond ranks if you can't fill up a game.
      Put lower diamonds and plats in a lobby, throw in a few high gold players as well.
      Keep in mind I'm using ranks to explain this, but this should be translated to actuall skills in the game based of your overall skills from current/past season.
