Tired of seeing predators and way better players, plz explain

Can someone explain to me how sbmm works in this game in pubs? is it even there? is it working at all? What logic decides a previous season predator with 5+kd, 20k kills, should be in the lobby with...

@SuperSletsen Personally I think it's everything from personal stats, to being a full premade team, to just winning back-to-back games.... It's annoying, I know. Sometimes I feel like solo queuing is easier than going in as a duo or trio team...
