Why is it? Because they hold you back? They make fun of you?
Holding back part well think of it as a handicap until solo mode happens. (if it does.)
If they make fun of you or trash talk. Ignore them, it is not hard.
I don't see a reason why you would stop playing over it. The game has some problems sure...but right now this one I don't see it just yet.
