Unpopular Opinion Probably

Does anyone else think octane is still to powerful in the meta? Like I get he’s a speed boost legend yadada and I’m not saying I’m a god player but I’ve never seen anyone actually win 1v1 up close with an octane while he’s boosted. I’ve adjusted controls and tried different weapons and tactics but it’s just impossible when they bob back and forth and bullets can’t even keep up. Anytime I see octane up close anymore I just tell myself “well that was fun match while it lasted” because obviously my squad gets wiped by one octane before their team can get there too and yes this is even in ranked.

    This has become a mantra of sorts. It applies to about 90% of matches regardless of which mode you're in. Octane is only the latest in an ever-growing list of game-crippling decisions Respawn has made because they think that 10% of players having a lot of fun is somehow worth the trade off of the other 90% constantly quitting matches or moving on to other games.

    I saw a streamer the other day say something about how the population is back up this season, and I hope that's so, but you certainly couldn't prove it by me. Matchmaking is disastrously bad, something that usually doesn't happen in this game until the population has dwindled to a very low level. And the gameplay and balancing decisions, like Octane, defy all logic. I can't understand how anyone could be having any fun in this game this season unless they cheat.
