Valorant first actual gameplay impression?

Another hero shooter game, in market full of hero shooters. A fantasy/sci-fi Counter Strike.

If it will take off, it will probably be because people are just bored of whatever they have been playing till now.

Otherwise I am not interested in neither Counter Strike, nor Overwatch, so the game that just blends those two together, also doesn't look that appealing.

Looks like cs:go with super powers, ive never had the thought playing cs:go, man i wish i had super powers... looks dumb and theyre trying to entice people with flashy servers and ping spec. Which wont matter a bit if your game sucks...

So right out of the gate the dev's behind the game are known for doing things right in terms of competitive gaming.  We know their hitreg and netcode will be on point.  That should be the reason everyone is excited about this game.  Now saying that, the arena style CS/overwatch type of game play is kind of meh to me.  The special powers kind of different hero's or in Apex's case Legends has become quite the turn off for me.  We see the revolving style of balance that plagues these games when OP powers need tweaks and nerfs.  I don't mind different guns, don't get me wrong but abilities that have to be "balanced" tend to get annoying since everyone who plays it just plays all the toons that are OP, character selection just gets made fro you around that to stay competitive.  

I think I just want a game where there are no special abilities or perks that need this kind of cycle of game development.
