Community Admin@DarthValtrexRespawning in ranked is very risky, plus the fact that there is very high chances of banners getting camped makes it even riskier. Did you not suggest that they rework Respawning as currently it takes too long? Well, this isn't exactly that but it does lessen the risk of Respawning a lil bit.
I always try my best to retrieve banners. The golden rule of Plat+ lobbies is to run if both your teammates are down and you are outnumbered(usually third partied) , and come back for banner later. This isn't a rule that I have made, every good player will tell you the same thing.
I think they are aware that a lot of people end up as rats in ranked, so they are testing out ways to solve that. Some of my teammates don't even go back for banner, where I would have tried.
