@RockDokRock First of all, Thor examined Imperial Hal's computer and was able to trace the hacker within the United States, so in that case the hacker was here. Although the hacking I'm referring to is different.
I don't think the theory is that far fetched. I was in a gun run where my team was just me and a random octane and the third spot was blank. The other three teams in the gun run all had players with successive number sequences like 423111, 423112, 423113....etc. All other teams were like this, and the players just shot at the ground the whole time and wouldn't attack you even if you walked in front of them. If you shot at them they would immediately one clip you with an aimbot headshot. (I then figured out I had to shoot them in the back so they wouldn't kill me). This match is an example of a coordinated effort to hack the game, that is not an internet troll or a ranked player earning a badge to show off online. This is a blatant malicious attack.
You'll see similar stuff in pubs trios where a large amount of squads will stack and attack you, while avoiding each other.
I've seen tdm matches where out of the 12 people you'll have 4 not using cheats and running around doing things impossible to do in the game.
Many people on here and youtube have witnessed the same stuff. Granted it doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough that people are quitting apex over it. I've said before I had 5 pages of friends in the game and only half of the first page are left. My club prior to season 20 had 14 players, all 13 of them have left the game, and they all gave me these reasons when they said goodbye. Between cheating and hit reg issues they all said they just didn't wanna play anymore.
So, I think the evidence (not proof) points to this. It may not be true, but once their investigation is done that they mentioned last season maybe we will know more.
