Well I basically use all snipers except krabers as shotguns. Screw actual shotguns except mozambique (yes you read that right). I suck with the eva 8, cause I always do low dmg output and the peacekeeper... let’s just say before the first patch of Apex I was rocking that thing non-stop, then suddenly after that update (no where in the patch notes was it mentioned that it got changed) the gun felt off. So I stopped using it along with a lot of other people. Couple patches later so many ppl start using it again and I end up dying as soon as I hear that gun cocking...
and I have a personal hate for that weapon. I needed one more kill... one more to get the Triple Triple badge (kill 3 members of 3 teams in same match 3 times). Downed the second to the last guy, fought this guy, first shot -80dmg for me... while he needed 1/2 shots from my prowler, he shot again I’m dead... screaming my lungs out that I died due to that weapon xD. But getting off topic.
Screw the inconsistencies of that weapon (peacekeeper). I shoot someone square at their chest from like 20 feet, I get 20dmg... I tried ‘sniping’ with it just for fun couple days ago... guy was further than 100 feet, I hit that guy (with choke of course) for like 16 or something and I’m like wtf?! XD

Longbow is a good early game sniper :P nothing but love for it. If it’s in my or the enemy’s hands, it can be powerful

@tr_hybr1d couldn't have said it better. I think the peacekeeper is pretty consistent right now, I've been using it and it's felt pretty good. As server stability improved I noticed my shots connecting with the peacekeeper a lot more. If it gets a consistency improvement, that is an overall damage buff and it might turn into a really overpowered weapon. It must be tough to balance because these are potentially 2-shot kill weapons, rightfully- but I can only suggest making them feel like fair weapons overall in play testing compared to other guns, early and late. Maybe they both need a nerf to damage since the longbow rate of fire buff and perhaps change shotgun bolts to make them change shotgun accuracy instead of rate of fire? 🤔
