What’s new on Olympus

Like my other threads, this one will get updated once more information is released in a couple of days.

New Skybox

Shrugtal has noticed the new skybox from Apex’ instagram ads. It seems that Olympus is now lower and closer to the actual city below where the Pathfinder stories from the outlands trailer was held.

And he also said that this is a new area around Bonsai and solar array.

    @Cheese9Man So basically they're not changing the open areas where they could just add some rocks or cover. Great.  Especially the south-east zone (Orbital cannon) which has bad loot and little cover needed changes imo.

    I'm not sure how i feel about the new skybox and making it feel like it's closer to the ground. I'm very protective and touchy about Olympus. One thing i do like is that the city reminds me of Busan (if you've played Overwatch) i'm sure it'll grow on me, but seems like it kinda ruined the whole "isolated city above the clouds" kind of feel.

    I just hope if they have lowered the city, that they didn't add more environmental sounds from below that will mix with Olympus sounds and create a mess of broken sound. 

    Im scared!  ☹️

    I want to go to the city.

    When I pick Seer in my games to throw, I'm gonna dive over there and go to the mall.

    We think alike— my eyes immediately went over to the Orbital Cannon section, as I feel that area needs some reworking.

    Orbital Canon reminds me of Refinery from early World’s Edge— the loot was too scarce for an area that takes up so much room. I mean just look at the size of Orbital Cannon— it often doesn’t feel like dropping there is worth it.

    Why is there a ship going through one of the balloons? It also looks like the Salvo ship?

    Anyone glean anything about the map changes from today's launch trailer?  We saw quite a bit of Olympus.

    @pandareno1999 there was lots of falling bits of space ships, with legends having to avoid them. I suspect that open (green) areas will be filled up somewhat with chunks of metallic cover.
