I like the no recoil bit, or maby reduce the recoil, but going fully towards the lowest common denominator may spoil what is unique about Apex.
Apex has a steep learning curve and im still learning after many years. I enjoy many aspects of the game, but have long since quit pubs. I would prefer a harsher stance taken then the recent dev comments.

"may spoil what is unique about Apex."
And what else is special about this game since they completely killed the balance of this game since season 23? First the sick support meta, and now for half a year the sick Ash movement?
Every action ends with one scenario - Ballistic uses her ult, Ash rushes with her dash and throws her "q" at the squad, and then Ballistic does the same. Everyone rushes at you with devotion, and you can't move or shoot.
Oh, and I forgot - if by some miracle Ash and Ballistic die - they come back with the Alter ult and try to destroy you once again.
Play a character outside the meta and enjoy 100 damage for the entire match, then lie there like a carpet that Ash+Ballistic+Alter+Sparrow will spread out.
Sorry, but this unique game has long since turned into a **bleep**ty game.
I don't remember the game being more boring and monotonous than it is now. Every game looks the same and no other character outside the meta has any breakthrough power.
And I don't remember a worse season in terms of cheating since s19 and speedhacks.
I've seen at least a dozen times people who used everything they could - wallhacking + 100% aim, and EAC still didn't detect and kick them out of the game.
Lots of people use soft cheating like only wh + scripts.
And the console? The console is all in the sauce of ZEN and XIM flavor. And thanks to crossplay, such people also destroy the PC lobby.
No FPS game I've ever played has as many cheaters as Apex Legends. None, and I've played dozens of games.
Is this the special game? I'll pass.

I am sure they are doing what they can. It's a constant moving target though; if they find a way to kick Cronos/ZEN/etc then the developers of that tech just find a way around it. The problem is people and their willingness to do this (use cheats).
I don't know how often I encounter it (I'm on console) but now and then there is a very suss death or the movement of my opponent is just unreal. Either it's a cheater or a guy way above my pay grade in my lobby; it's hard to tell sometimes.
I would guess this problem is pretty rampant on PCs.
