I don't think I've ever seen so many level 20-30 players beaming me like they're pro. Whats the point of banning when they just make new accounts in 5 minutes
I guess the latest (at this point quite old) news from Respawn was that they want to make this cheating "expensive" for cheaters. Not sure though if it is working as hardware / software is not banned fast enough and noone seems to care really about profiles as it seems level 300+ even are available for cheap/free for them.
Feels kinda weird but as Zeus said in his latest video - is seems like Respawn has just given up in terms of battling cheaters, especially on console when time and time again number 1 and 2 preds are bluntly cheating and so is most of top 15 which should be obvious and totally / instantly flagged for banning yet somehow they keep playing and getting so far ahead of others - nr.1 I think had 160+k RP while possible best legit Pred had only around 90k = almost 2x difference. That should raise suspicion for anyone with brain / logical thinking.
The cheating problem will not be remedied because it involves money - AE share prices. Permanently banning individuals would wipe thousands off their online player rolls. Success in this market segment revolves totally around online player numbers, and AE frankly doesn't give a sh*t whether these players are cheating or not as long as they're playing, and (unfortunately) online numbers are up.
Yeah it is weird how community of Apex actually thrives on current situation - smurfing, cheating, following cheaters on streams, glorifying aimbot using / teaming people who achieve high ranks all while not being able / willing to improve, grind rank themselves aka being lazy / casual.
Meanwhile me as grinder had a glimpse of what Apex could have been yesterday - me (D2) and my duo (D4/3) grinded for like 5h straight, at first we got crazy lobbies where we got mowed by P4/P2 clearly cheating, frustration kicked in not just one time but later in the grind despite having to play regularly vs 6 Master teams or even Preds we actually won 2! games with 6+ Master/Pred squads in them.
First win was combination of great first fight clutch for us vs Diamond/Master team -> intentional avoidance of cheater team that tried to hunt us down perfectly shooting from 100-150m away -> taking fights what ended up being Diamond/Plat or even one Plat 3 stack (thanks Apex matchmaking!) -> great end zone positioning and perfect game calls. Ended up with 10 team KP.
Other one was pure nightmare but at the end we had one of the best end game zone spots, caught 3stack current Pred 350-450 out in the open, won 3v3 which was more like 2v3 because we managed to instantly down the first guy looting in the open. Just 4 KP as a team but eliminating current Preds in 3v3 ... that does not get old :)
All in all what I am trying to say:
1. game without cheaters would be so much more competitive while being achievable for more people than now who just hit the wall and give up because humans can't and never will beat software in shooters
2. even Master/Pred players are "just humans" and "hardstuck Diamonds" can have a good run vs them at least time to time / if game is played perfectly from their side
3. for me it is so much more motivating to play the game and come back after such grinds (I don't even know if we made any RP during those 5h but that does not matter as games were great at the end and we as duo learned a lot , adjusted, saw the results instantly) vs thinking twice knowing that as soon as I run Apex I will face some low level turbo jumping 60+% accurate brainless player(s)
Jimberley-Jones for real. I just started playing the game again after like 4 years of taking a break. Lol been playing bot royale and wildcard. One match will be fine, top 5 usually on either mode, the next in less than 30 seconds of dropping in I'm being beamed from far far away by a level 10 or lower that doesn't miss a single bullet lol
crazy thing is that we'll get like a week or 2 thats ok, then all of a sudden its like more normal to see smurfs and cheaters than regular players
